This notice explains how we use your personal information when you order from us, book a table or visit our website. We keep it in plain terms, and you can contact us at any time with questions.

1. WHO WE ARE 1.1 We are Taste of Himalayan, trading as Taste of Himalayan, registered office 33 High St, Rowley Regis, B65 0DR. Our restaurant is at 33 High St, Rowley Regis, B65 0DR. You can contact us on +44 121 820 5134 or at our restaurant contact email. We are responsible (the "controller") for your personal information.

1.2 Our website is built and hosted for us by BhandariTech, which handles your information on our behalf and only follows our instructions.

2. WHAT WE COLLECT 2.1 When you order, book or contact us we collect: - (a) your name, phone number and email address; - (b) your delivery address, if you order for delivery; - (c) what you order, when, and how you paid (payment is handled by our payment provider, and we do not see your full card number); - (d) your reservation details, such as the date, time and number of people; - (e) anything you tell us in an order note or when you contact us, including any allergies or dietary needs; and - (f) technical information when you use our website, such as your IP address, device and browser, and cookie information.

2.2 If you tell us about an allergy or a dietary need that relates to your health, you are giving us that information so we can prepare your food safely, and we use it only for that. We treat you giving it to us as your consent.

3. HOW WE USE IT AND WHY 3.1 We use your personal information for these purposes and on these legal bases: - (a) to take, prepare, deliver and collect your order and to handle your booking, including taking payment: because we need it to carry out our contract with you; - (b) to give you updates about your order or booking and to deal with your questions and complaints: because it is part of our contract with you and in our legitimate interest in giving good service; - (c) to keep accounting and tax records and meet other legal duties: because the law requires it; - (d) to keep our website secure, prevent fraud and see how it is used so we can improve it: in our legitimate interests, and for analytics cookies only if you agree; and - (e) to send you marketing, such as offers by email or text: only if you have agreed. You can withdraw your agreement at any time.

3.2 We do not sell your personal information.

4. WHO WE SHARE IT WITH 4.1 We share your information only where needed, with: - (a) BhandariTech, which runs our website for us; - (b) our payment provider, Stripe or Mollie, which takes your card and wallet payments; - (c) Cloudflare, which provides hosting and security for our website; - (d) Google, for Google Maps, which we use to check addresses, and for Google Analytics; - (e) Postcodes.io, which we use to look up postcodes; - (f) our own drivers, who see your name, address and phone number so they can deliver your order; - (g) our accountant and professional advisers, where they need it to advise us; and - (h) the courts, regulators, the police or tax authorities, where the law requires or allows it.

4.2 Some of these companies are based, or store information, outside the UK. Where they are, we only use them if there are safeguards the law requires.

5. HOW LONG WE KEEP IT 5.1 We keep order and payment records for 6 years, as tax and company law expect. We keep reservation details for up to 12 months. We keep complaint records for as long as needed to deal with the complaint, and no longer than 6 years. We keep your details for marketing until you tell us to stop. When we no longer need information we delete it.
6. YOUR RIGHTS 6.1 You have the right to: - (a) ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you; - (b) ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete; - (c) ask us to delete your information, in some cases; - (d) ask us to restrict how we use it, in some cases; - (e) ask us to give you your information in a portable form, in some cases; - (f) object to our use of your information where we rely on our legitimate interests, and to any direct marketing; and - (g) withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on it, without affecting what we did before.

6.2 To use any of these rights, contact us at our restaurant contact email or on +44 121 820 5134. We will reply within one month. We may ask you to prove who you are.

7. COOKIES 7.1 Our website uses cookies that are needed for it to work and stay secure. We only use analytics cookies, such as Google Analytics, if you agree to them. You can change your choice at any time using the cookie settings on our website, or by changing your browser settings.
8. KEEPING IT SECURE 8.1 We and our website provider use suitable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. If a breach puts your rights at risk, we will tell you and the Information Commissioner's Office where the law requires.
9. CHILDREN 9.1 You must be at least 18 to place an order on our website. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
10. CHANGES TO THIS NOTICE 10.1 We may update this notice. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
11. COMPLAINTS 11.1 If you are unhappy with how we have used your information, please tell us first at our restaurant contact email so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
